| You have an emergency and need help. You grab your phone and dial 911. The dispatcher answers the phone and starts asking simple questions and your mind suddenly goes blank.....do you live in the borough or the township, what is the closest cross street, here is a link to help you in an emergency situation. https://yorkcountypa.gov/images/pdf/emergencycard.pdf You can print out this form (English and Spanish are available), fill it in and place it near the phone. You can also use this form to help teach children what they need to do in an emergency situation if an adult isn't present. Please remember if you or your children accidentally dial 911, stay on the line and tell the dispatcher you do not have an emergency. If you hang up before they answer, they will call back to check if you need help. |
