The following information pertains to rentals at the Wellsville Fire Company.  This is for informational purposes only.  If renting the facilities, a formal contract must be signed with the person in charge of scheduling rentals.

1. Must be 21 years of age to lease buildings or grounds.

2. No sub-leasing of buildings or grounds

3.  No one will be allowed in the kitchen downstairs, or have use of any kitchen equipment, unless they have obtained prior permission.  An additional fee may apply.

4.  Renting organization or person (Lessee) shall be responsible for replacing, repairing or paying for any article which shall be broken, damaged or missing during their Lease.  Owner of buildings and grounds, known as (Lesser) is the Wellsville Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary.  A $ 100.00 booking fee will be payable on the day of signing the Lease Agreement.  This booking fee is non-refundable and will be applied to the rental fee.  Thirty (30) days prior to the rental date a $ 100.00 security deposit and the balance of the rental fee is due.  In the event the function is canceled, the security deposit and rental fee will be refunded, less the $ 100.00 booking fee.  After the function, the $ 100.00 security deposit will be refunded within 90 days of the rental date if the premises are left in the original order.  Damages in excess of $ 100.00 will be invoiced.

5.  There is a $ 30.00 returned check fee for any check returned for insufficient funds.

6.  Permission for serving of alcoholic beverages by any person or organization will be determined by the Board of Trustees of the Fire Company.  If permission is granted, the following rules must be adhered to:

      a. All alcoholic beverages must be kept in the rental area at all times.

      b. All alcoholic beverages will be served by the Lessee.

     c. Lessee will be responsible for the conduct of the guests and must maintain a tight control over them.  Excessive drinking to the point of drunkenness will not be permitted.

     d. You must be at least 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages on Fire Company property

      e. Lessee assumes full responsibility for the alcohol and its consumption.

7.  A designated member of the Fire Company or Ladies Auxiliary will have the authority on matters pertaining to the rental and use of the hall and the responsibility of interpreting the Rules.

8.  For functions requiring food to be served:

     a. A guaranteed number of persons and choice of food to be served must be given to Lesser at least two (2) weeks in advance of the lease date.

     b. Lesser will prepare food for an additional five (5) persons over the guaranteed number, but additional payment will be required it the initial number of persons is exceeded.

LEASE AGREEMENT

This agreement, made this __________ day of _______________, 200___, between the Wellsville Fire Company, 95 Community Street, Wellsville, PA, herein called the “Lesser”, and ________________________ of______________________________, herein called the “Lessee”.

 

Lesser hereby rents to the Lessee its Engine Room, Social Hall (Auditorium), Dining Hall, Pavilion, Grounds (circle which applies) situated in its Fire Hall at the above address for the purpose of __________________________________________________  ________________________,________________,_____________________________________.

Lessee hereby releases Lesser from all liability, and assumes all liability, for damages which may arise from any kind of injury to any person or persons or property that are on the premises, either due to the expressed or implied invitation of Lessee, and any that may arise from any cause on the said premises, whether such damage or injury be caused by or as a result of the negligence of Lesser, or its agents, for any person or persons.

Lessee agrees to abide by all Rules and Regulations governing the rental of facilities for public functions, a copy of which is attached and is a part of this Agreement.

It is understood that in the event the Fire Department is dispatched for an emergency of any kind, Lessee will be responsible for serving their guests, which is normally done by members of the Wellsville Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary.

BUILDING USAGE RULES

 Lessee or Organization Chairman will be responsible for the conduct of the guests.

  1. The downstairs dining room is a No Smoking Area.
  2. No one under the age of 21 will be permitted to consume any alcoholic beverages while on Fire Company property per Pennsylvania State Law.
  3. All alcoholic beverages must be kept in rental area at all times.
  4. There will be no narcotics or controlled substances permitted on Fire Company property.
  5. No one will be allowed to use the downstairs kitchen
  6. When decorating, do not use thumb tacks, tape or anything to damage the walls.
  7. When decorating, from the ceiling, use paper clips to hold decorations in place.
  8. Any kitchen equipment used must be cleaned and returned to its proper place.
  9.   All tables & chairs must be properly stored in the table and chair room.
  10.   At the completion of the event, all liquids and spills bust be wet mopped and the   remainder of the floors must be dry mopped.
  11.   All trash should be placed in the dumpster at the rear of the building.
  12.   Check bathrooms to make sure lights are off, windows are closed, and toilets are flushed.
  13.   The Fire House should look the same as it did when you arrived.
  14.   All lights must be turned off and windows shut when leaving.
  15.   All doors must be locked when leaving the building at the end of the event.
  16.   Lessee or Organization Chairman will be responsible for any damages that occur during the event.
  17.   No bicycles, scooters, roller blades, skateboards, etc. will be permitted in the building.
  18.   No taps or cleats (shoes) will be permitted in the building.
